The Process

here's what's next:

I. Get In Touch.

You've decided I'm your photographer - fantastic! You'll fill out a contact form and I will get back to you within 48 hours. We'll chat about your vision, packages, and get you on my calendar!

II. Take photos.

The day of your session is here - woop woop! I'll send over a confirmation email the day of and make sure we are still on, all the details are still the same, and meet you at your selected location(s)!

III. Deliver memories.

A week after your session, I'll send over a proofing gallery via email so you can select your favorite photos. Once you select your images, I get to work editing! Depending on the season, it takes me about 6-8 weeks turnaround time.

I am a firm believer in sessions being FUN! There is nothing quite as frustrating as a photographer making you stand in awkward poses with no reassurance about how things are looking on their end. I communicate with you and your family throughout the whole session, give fun and silly prompts that lend the images to cinematic and lifestyle shots, and coach you through poses so all you have to worry about is enjoying the moments.

FAQ

How do I book?

The best way to get in contact with me is through my contact page and fill out my inquiry form. I will get back to you within 48 hours. If you contacted over a weekend, please wait until the following week for a response - I am out shooting and recovering during that time!

What should I wear?

Not to worry! I know this is the hardest part on your end before a session! After you book, I'll send over an extensive client guide on suggestions for what to wear depending on the season, occasion, and setting!

What if the weather is bad on the day of our session?

Unless it's really awful weather, or you would prefer to reschedule, I am usually ready and willing to keep our session. Rain and snow can produce some of the most beautiful images. However, I do understand that's not everyone's vision for their session. So, if the weather looks like it may make your experience more of an adventure than you feel up for, please contact me the day of your session to check in with me - I will be happy to reschedule.

Where is the best place to shoot?

I am a firm believe in the outdoors being my backdrop! I have, however, acquired studio gear at my residency. I am only taking certain clients in studio at the moment as covid winds down. I occasionally rent AirB&Bs for boudoir events at certain times of the year. If the client is comfortable, in home sessions are also perfect for intimate and family oriented sessions. I have numerous outdoor locations up my sleeve in this beautiful state! Get in touch to discuss what sort of shoot you are looking for and we can work together to make it a reality!

Where are you based and do you travel?

While most of my clients live in or near Anchorage, I am indeed available to travel, and have had the pleasure of photographing portraits and events as far away as England! Depending on the distance, there may be additional fees to cover the cost of my travel and accommodation.

When will I get my photos?

You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum 8 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the final gallery, choose your favorites, and also order prints!

You can photoshop that, right?

While I do use photoshop for some of my post processing, I never photoshop the shape of your body. I address blemishes and breakouts, along with anything else in the image that lends to distraction, but again, I will not alter your physical appearance.

How many pictures will we receive?

Depending on which package you select, you will receive a set number of images, with option to purchase more! Extra photos cost $50 each.
